DESCRIPTION:Birdies for Beacon Benefitting Project Beacon\nBirdies for Beacon is the annual golf tournament benefiting Project Beacon. Project Beacon exists to build a community of belongings where adults with autism and other Neurodiversities can play\, learn\, work\, and live. We are committed to delivering quality\, sustainable solutions for the educational\, vocational\, social\, and residential challenges facing the neurodiverse community. Together we can help those on the autism spectrum and with special needs have lives of self-agency and purpose. Join us and support an often-overlooked community and need that has so much to offer our communities. \nThe Birdies for Beacon Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday\, April 22nd\, 2025\, at Highland Pines Golf Club and will feature an 18-hole Four-Player Scramble Tournament and an Adaptive Golf Experience. \n18-Hole Four-Player Scramble Tournament Schedule at a Glance:\n10:30 am – VIP Check-in and VIP Brunch* \n11 am – Player Check-in and Lunch \n11-12:30 pm – Putting & Pitching contests \n12:30 pm – Driving Range Closes \n1:00 pm – Shotgun start \nDinner begins at the end of play – approximately 5:30 – 6PM \nThe tournament is a four-player scramble. Before play\, golfers can participate in the putting contest\, pitching contest\, and warm-up on the range and putting green. \nLunch will be provided before tee-off with unlimited soft drinks and domestic beer. \nAt the conclusion of tournament play\, players are encouraged to stay\, relax\, and enjoy a buffet-style dinner\, raffle\, auction\, and Awards Ceremony. \n*Birdies for Beacon VIP Brunch\, included in the Premium Sponsorship packages\, offers conversation with the Project Beacon board\, complemented by a delightful lunch and refreshing Bloody Mary’s. Featured Speaker: Jennifer Dantzler \nAbout your Featured Speaker!\nJennifer Dantzler is the Founder and Executive Director of Inspire ND\, Inc.\, a nonprofit focused on creating inclusive communities for individuals with autism and other neurodiversities. She has over 20 years of experience building high quality\, innovative programs for individuals with autism. Jennifer originally founded Including Kids\, Inc. as an early intervention clinic which grew to serve adolescents and young adults. Seeing the need for more robust young adult services she founded Inspire ND\, Inc. and created a program focused solely on the needs of adolescents and young adults. Today\, Inspire ND\, Inc. is tackling the community head on through education\, engagement\, and advocacy initiatives to create truly inclusive communities.Jennifer has earned recognition for her contributions\, including the 2008 Woman of Achievement Award in Human Services\, 2011 Health Care Professional of the Year\, and induction into the Morgan’s Wonderland Wall of Fame in 2021. In 2021\, Texas State Representative Dan Huberty declared April 21st “Jennifer Dantzler Day” in recognition of her contributions to the autism field.She holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Autism from Johns Hopkins University\, a Master of Science in Education in Intensive Special Needs from Simmons College\, and earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary/Special Education from American University. Jennifer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Texas. She actively contributes to several professional organizations\, including CASP\, ABAI\, and TX ABA. \n  \nA sought-after speaker\, Jennifer addresses topics such as inclusion\, neurodiversity in the workplace\, and best practices in ABA. She is also a leadership coach for Empower Behavioral Health and a strategic management consultant for Project Beacon. Featured Speaker: Armando Bernal \nMore about our Key Speaker!\nArmando Bernal is a neurodivergent board-certified behavior analyst who supports patients between the ages of 2 and 25. In addition\, Armando provides autistic consultation\, parent and therapist consultation\, speaking engagements for companies across the nation\, and supervision and mentorship to other BCBAs and therapists. Armando has also participated in several collaborations with Vanderbilt University and the Suny Empire State University meant to further support self-advocacy and independence for individuals with autism. \nArmando is also the founder of Autism International Consulting\, PLLC\, a self-advocacy-centered organization that provides in-home ABA\, in-clinic ABA\, and international consultation. Her experience includes in-house and corporate communications\, long- and short-term marketing plans\, and referral development through Business-2-Business relationships. She is passionate about communication and creating efficient systems. Jamie also recenty completed her MBA in Healthcare Administration at the University of Texas. She and her husband live on Lake Conroe and love the outdoors. DESCRIPTION:Birdies for Beacon Benefitting Project Beacon\n\nThe Birdies for Beacon Golf Tournament benefitting Project Beacon will be held Monday\, May 6\, 2024\, at April Sound Golf Club and will feature an 18-hole Four-Player Scramble Tournament and a 9-hole Adaptive Golf Experience. \n18-Hole Four-Player Scramble \nTournament Schedule at a Glance: \n11 am – Player Check-in and Lunch \n11-12:30 pm – Putting & Pitching contests \n12:30 pm – Driving Range Closes \n1:00 pm – Shotgun start \nDinner begins at the end of play – at approximately 5:30-6 pm \nThe tournament is a four-player scramble. D\, Clinical Psychologist & Brandon Delgado\, M.A. Psychological Associate. \n			\n						Reserve Your Seat!\n					 \nMore about our Key Speakers!\nMichelle Garcia\, Psy. D founded the Michelle Garcia Psy.D. & Associates practice. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Florida State University. Michelle graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2003 with a M.S. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Specializing in short- and long-term consultations and treatment plans for individuals of all ages. She co-wrote the nationally recognized Quality of Life Curriculum with Brandon Delgado. \nIn addition to counseling and curriculum\, Michelle and her team provide psychological and neuropsychological testing for a wide variety of conditions (including autism) with the goal of reducing behavioral challenges and improving quality of life. Following his graduation with a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University\, Brandon enrolled in Sam Houston State University and earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. \nBrandon has worked with individuals of all ages to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health and behavioral issues\, including autism. He co-wrote the nationally recognized Quality of Life Curriculum with Dr. Garcia\, is scheduled to speak at the 2020 Attention Deficit Disorders Association conference\, and has presented research at the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences conference. \nMore about our Networking Group!\nThis networking group aims to bring together organizations\, professionals\, and advocates who are passionate about neurodiversity and committed to improving the lives of neurodiverse individuals and their families in Montgomery County. By collaborating and sharing best practices\, resources\, and expertise\, we aim to create a Center of Excellence that will serve as a hub for: \nSupport Services: Identifying providers offering a comprehensive range of support services\, including education\, employment\, social integration\, and mental health support\, tailored to the needs of neurodiverse individuals. \nResearch and Development: Supporting research and innovation in our community to improve our understanding and approaches to supporting and providing resources to the neurodiverse community. \nAdvocacy and Awareness: Raising awareness about neurodiversity and advocating for inclusive policies and practices in our community. \nTraining and Education: Providing training and professional development opportunities for support providers\, educators\, and community members to enhance their skills in working with neurodiverse individuals. \nCommunity Engagement: Organizing events\, workshops\, and awareness campaigns to engage with the broader community and promote acceptance and inclusion.
