Join us for a day filled with excitement, where you can create your delicious Ice Cream Sundae and sing along to your favorite songs on our karaoke stage. Don’t miss out on this special event, as we also celebrate the first anniversary of our Social Enrichment Events.
Â
There will be plenty of fan favorites and a host of toppings to create your special sundae. We will have karaoke and other activities to do in the room before or after enjoying your ice cream concoction, and you will want to check out the nature center exhibit with wonderful interactive exhibits on Texas’ wildlife and aquatic creatures. This is a come-and-go event so that participants can enjoy the event at their own pace.
Â
Project Beacon’s Social Enrichment Events are designed for adults and older adolescents (16 and up) with autism and other neurodiversities. The goal of these events is to create a fun social event that encourages participation and increases socialization skills.
Â
All participants must have a caregiver or family member attend with them regardless of ability level. We also invite you to bring the whole family and enjoy the event together.
Â
The event is offered to participants at no charge, but you can help us offset the costs of the event with a suggested donation of $5 per participant.
